Family

I want you all to meet my family.  I have four sons and one daughter n law that I love dearly.  I also have a beautiful grandson.  They are truly the loves of my life.  I have devoted and dedicated my life to them.  I think family gets lost in the mix of life so may times these days.  It is so important to sit down at the table together and enjoy a family meal together.  It is so important to have pow wows with your children to go over things that need to be done and find out how they feel.  It’s also good to spend time one on one with each child.  I am a single mother and even though it’s been hard, I wouldn’t have wanted it any other way.  I think it’s good to talk to your children.  Develop a good relationship with them.  Let them know you care about what they think.  Let them make their own decisions.  Discuss their decisions and if they make the wrong decision let them know all decisions have consequences. 

Talk talk talk to your children and listen listen listen.  Get them in church whenever possible.  Plant the seeds of righteousness and Godliness. 

Laughter is the best medicine when it comes to family.  Take them camping.  When we went it decided to storm the last night we were there.  The tents fell down and we had a ball.  I will never forget that trip, nor will I ever forget it.  Take your kids on a long trip to somewhere where they have never gone.  Do silly things.  Get dressed up in silly costumes.  Have the most fun you can have with your children.  Love every minute of it, because it goes so fast.  Let them know it’s ok to laugh and ok to cry.  Their feelings are important  and it’s also ok to feel.  Laughter is the best medicine when it comes to family.
